Level 3
The Level 3 qualifications in First Line Management are developed for supervisors and first line managers who have operational responsibility for a defined area of activity, this qualification gives junior managers the communication and motivational skills to help improve operational efficiency.

Award
The Level 3 Award in First Line Management provides an introduction to the skills, roles and responsibilities of this management area. It also develops basic knowledge by focusing on the development of specific management skills.
It consists of one unit of the full level 3 Diploma.

Certificate
A more extensive qualification, the Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management gives a broader knowledge of effective management skills while focusing on the specific management areas appropriate to individuals and their workplace. It consists of two or three units of the full level 3 Diploma, depending on those selected.

Diploma
With a more comprehensive structure, the Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management gives all the key skills and competencies needed to become an effective first line manager.  It consists of seven units in total.

Level 5
The Level 5 qualifications in Management and Leadership are designed for middle managers and those aspiring to senior management who want to develop key skills such as managing resources, recruitment and information management.

Award
The Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership provides the opportunity to develop and strengthen knowledge of middle management by focusing on a specific management area that is applicable to the job.  It consists of one unit of the full level 5 Diploma.

Certificate
A more extensive qualification, the Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership gives a broader knowledge of middle management skills while focusing on the specific leadership areas appropriate to individuals and their job. It consists of two units of the full level 5 Diploma.

Diploma
With a more comprehensive structure, the Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership gives all the key skills and competencies needed to become an effective middle manager. A Diploma in Management and Leadership is the benchmark qualification for full Chartered Management Institute membership, progressing towards Chartered Manager status.
It consists of nine units in total.
